Beyond the Trigger: Teaching, theatre and traumatic memory

7:00pm-9:00pm on Friday 15 March

Times shown are in GMT (UTC +0) up to the 26th March. For events on or after 27th March times are in BST (UTC +1).

Faculty of English, Judith E Wilson Drama Studio 9 West Road, CB3 9DP

The Beyond the Trigger research initiative has drawn together perspectives from inside and outside a variety of academic disciplines, using the key aspects of performance – physicality, space, the relationship of individual to group – to explore the challenges of communicating and understanding psychopathological states.

Attendees are invited to join the company as they share their creative responses to the University’s archival materials concerning literary and medical treatments of trauma. There will be time, too, for attendees to browse (and respond to) those archival stimuli in the accompanying exhibition.

The exhibition will be open throughout the Festival event in the Judith E Wilson Drama Studio.

The performance, which needs to be booked, is aimed at older teenagers and adults.
