Magdalene College, Pepys Library, Magdalene Street, CB3 0AG
This exhibition reveals the changes in printing and bookbinding from the earliest printed books to the present day. The examples are all taken from the iconic library of Samuel Pepys and from Magdalene College Old Library. Learn about materials and techniques in book production: papers and typeface; woodblocks and copperplate engraving; colouring and etching, and stitching, sewing, and glueing books together.
Groups over 10 must contact the library: pepyslibrary@magd.cam.ac.uk
