BRIDGING THE EVIDENCE AND POLICY GAP: YOUR COUNTY COUNCIL AND CUSPE

Wednesday 23 October: 6:30pm - 8:00pm

Shire Hall, Council Chamber, Castle Hill, CB3 0AP

There's a lot written about the gap between evidence and policy - come along and learn about how Cambridgeshire County Council and CUSPE are bridging that gap.

Since 2017 Cambridgeshire County Council has been running a one-of-a kind collaboration between researchers and policy makers: the Cambridgeshire Policy Challenges.

These 6-month research programmes see early career researchers working directly on specific issues facing the Council, interacting with Politicians and Policy makers, and eventually making recommendations to change council policy. Past and current challenges include educational inequalities, government structure, and climate change.

Experience the challenges they have faced, what they found out, and the benefits the programme has realised.
