CAMBRIDGE BEN AND THE POET

Saturday 19 October: 11:00am - 12:00pm

Faculty of Law, B16, Sidgwick Site, 10 West Road, CB3 9DZ

Ben has been set a tricky task by his teacher, Miss Delaney. He must write about a famous poet who lived in Cambridge and something interesting must have happened to him/her. He enrols the help of his nan. His nan is happy to help but she doesn’t want to make things too easy for Ben. In this reading activity clues will need to be solved. Once you solve the clues you can actually go to the site in Cambridge where this poet lived and see where an interesting event mentioned in the story took place. This is aimed at 7-10 year olds. You should allow up to 30 minutes to complete the reading activity. You will need only a pencil or pen and a rubber. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
