CHANGES IN CHILDREN'S SOCIAL RELATIONSHIPS OVER THE FIRST FIVE YEARS: FROM BIRTH TO SCHOOL-AGE

Cutting across the PEDaL team in Education and the Centre for Family Research this session will include informal talks for parents by Professor Claire Hughes, Dr Elian Fink and the members of the New Fathers and Mothers team, involving researchers following families from the transition to parents through to the transition to Reception, talks will include:
• Changes in the way parents talk to children of different ages,
• How children come to understand emotions at different ages, and
• How children interact with peers differently across the first 5 years of life

We will also have activities for children.
