HOW DO POEMS CHANGE?

Saturday 19 October: 2:45pm - 3:30pm

Faculty of English, GR05, 9 West Road, CB3 9DP

This talk by Jamie Fenton will look closely at what happens when a poet cannot settle on a word - when language seems provisional. Attendees will be presented with high quality reproductions of Emily Dickinson manuscripts, and will get to decipher her handwriting and then discuss what difference small changes make to the poems’ meanings.
