Saturday 26 October: 12:30pm - 1:30pm

Anglia Ruskin University, Lord Ashcroft Building - LAB107, East Road, CB1 1PT

The resonance or identity of a specific location in the process of change is examined through presentations by artists whose practices range from installation to text and video-based works. The essence of place-bound identity within place shaping and site-specific artwork is explored through a panel discussion.

After the talk you are welcome to take part in a walking tour around the Mill Road area, stopping at key locations to draw. Change, memory and identity, in the context of Mill Road and the current building programmes, will be creatively mapped by participants as part of the national Big Draw programme. The tour will run 1.30-4pm.

Chaired by Dr. Harriet Riches, Head of the Art School at ARU, speakers will include Emma Smith and Jo Chapman - artist-in-residence for the forthcoming Cromwell Road development and artist commissioned for Ironworks respectively - and Veronique Chance, artist and lecturer at ARU.
