SIR HERMANN BONDI LECTURE: UK RESEARCH IN TROUBLED POLITICAL TIMES

Monday 23 October: 6:30pm - 7:30pm

St John's College Fisher Building, St John’s Street, CB2 1TP

Sir Hermann was centrally involved with European research. EU funding, including the ERC, has become hugely important for UK researchers but will be seriously at risk if/when Brexit proceeds. Professor Dame Athene Donald (current successor to Sir Hermann at Churchill), member of the ERC’s Scientific Council, discusses how Brexit may affect UK research and the implications for our international standing in research.
