The 'Sound of Change' explores the transformative role of the performing arts in interdisciplinary realms. The concert is a highlight of the International Conference on Musical Intersections in Practice, 25-26 Oct 2019, organised by the Centre for Intercultural Musicology at Churchill College, Cambridge. The concert features international performers including the Frahm-Lewis Trio from the University of Nebraska. New works by composers from various parts of the world are premiered. Jane Turner and dancers from the Turning Worlds Dance Company and London Metropolitan University premiere 'Cusp of Life' by composer Valerie Ross, a work which personifies Valerie's collaborative research in creating music for cardiac rehabilitation.
